New to Old Town Alexandria?

Come Join Us!



Come one, come all! Anyone who is new to St. Paul’s and all parishioners are invited to join us on the bricks at the front of the church every Sunday after the 10:00 a.m. service. There will be lemonade and iced tea and special events, and it is a perfect opportunity to visit with one another and most importantly welcome new members to the church. There will be a Vestry member, parish staff, or clergy present to welcome any newcomers. Christ House Dinner


St. Paul’s will be serving dinner on July 30 at Christ House located at the corner of Prince and West Street in Old Town Alexandria. We need servers from 4:30 to 6:15 and bakers/dessert makers to drop off their goodies at Christ House anytime Sunday, July 29 or Monday, July 30 before 4:00 p.m. Please let them know it is for St. Paul’s dinner on the 30th. St. Paul's: Pennies from Heaven Fund Drive


While the start of school still seems far away, there are children at the Renk Basic School hoping to attend school for the first time this fall. This summer we are having a fund drive for Pennies from Heaven, our scholarship fund for children in South Sudan. Our goal is to send 20 children to school at $300 per student by September. Rowan LeCompte Visits St. Paul's



ROWAN LECOMPTE VISITS ST. PAUL'S JULY 15

The St. Paul’s Foundation was proud to announce that on Sunday, July 15 renowned stained-glass artist Rowan LeCompte visited St. Paul’s. Mr. LeCompte is best known for creating and producing 45 stained-glass windows and six mosaic murals in the Washington National Cathedral. His work also illuminates some 50 other American churches and public buildings, including our chapel where the window he created can be seen behind the altar.  Clips from the documentary Let There Be Light, about the creation of Rowan LeCompte’s last window for the National Cathedral, were shown.

Parents' Morning Out at St. Paul's: Alexandria, VA

Our Parents’ Morning Out program is still growing. PMO is designed for 2 year olds to have structured playtime in a school setting 2-3 days a week. It has been a wonderful experience for all families and teachers involved. If you are interested in being a part of our program in September, please email ellen@stpaulsalexandria.com.

Carpenter's Shelter Dinner: Alexandria, VA

Baby on Board: New Baby Ministry


As any new parent knows, the birth of a child can be both a joyful and stressful time. To assist families, the St. Paul’s New Baby Ministry is available to provide respite care, provide meals, and offer other assistance as needed. The type and length of support offered depends on individual circumstances. If you know of a St. Paul’s family with a new baby, please contact Jeannie Baldwin at jsbaldwin2@cox.net or call 703-350-8557. Summer choir has begun. Rehearsals are on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in the gallery. Choir does not robe or process. Just show up and join us to learn a simple anthem and to lead the congregation’s singing at the 10:00 a.m. service.
