Last Spring Adult Forum: Reed Sandridge of the Year of Giving Project


In our final Adult Forum of the Spring season, we welcome special guest Reed Sandridge of the Year of Giving project. Reed will share the life-changing story of how he gave away $10 a day to a complete stranger for one year; his work has been featured in numerous media outlets such as CBS, the Washington Post, and NPR. Join us at 10 a.m. in Upper Norton Hall (childcare will be provided by weeSIT during the forum hour).

In our recent parish communications survey, we asked how we can improve our communications efforts -- and you answered. Now is the chance to hear how we plan to move forward, and offer your feedback.

At this Sunday's Adult Forum, we will discuss the results of the survey, as well as the next steps we're planning to take to further our communications strategy.   • April 21: “Is There Morality in Human Evolution?” with the Rev. Ross Kane 
  • April 28: “How Are Miracles Possible?” with physicist and St. Paul’s parishioner Dr. Ted Martin

Special Adult Forum This Sunday: Harriet Baka of the Episcopal Church of Sudan

This Sunday, we are delighted to welcome Harriet Baka of the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Harriet serves as coordinator of the Mothers’ Union for the Episcopal Church of Sudan, carrying a significant voice for women’s issues in the church and in South Sudan as a whole. Harriet and the Rev. Ross Kane will discuss South Sudan, the church, and the role of women in Sudanese church and society. Please plan to be with us to support Harriet and hear about her faithful work for the church.

On July 8 St. Paul’s welcomes Larry Duffee, a missionary who works with Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul in the Provincial Office of the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Join us for a special presentation at 11:15 a.m. to hear about Larry’s work and learn how we can continue to support the church in Sudan.

Adult Forum: June 10


This Sunday, June 10 begins our special summer Adult Forum offering Canterbury Tells, a series exploring Anglican identity and the current state of the Episcopal Church as we prepare for the church’s triennial General Convention. On June 10 join Ian Markham for a presentation entitled The Myth of the Decline of the Episcopal Church at 9:00 a.m. in Upper Norton Hall. June 17 we welcome two deputies to General Convention at St. Paul’s, Russ Randle and Cindi Bartol who will outline key issues facing the Church at this year’s Convention.

Martha J. Horne Lecture at St. Paul's

Sunday, February 12: The Martha J. Horne Lecture featuring the Right Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon: Caught by the Gospel; the Journey from Winona to Washington. Hear the story of how the gospel was planted in the life of the Right Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon, one of the first female bishops in the Episcopal Church. Bishop Dixon served as Bishop Suffragan in the Diocese of Washington and Bishop pro tempore of Washington from 2001-2002.
