Rev. Matthew Hanisian: DC Celebrates Mardi Gras With Annual Pancake Races

Our very own, Rev. Matthew Hanisian, who is now the assistant rector at St. Alban's Parish, poses with his gold-painted syrup bottle trophy after winning a pancake race during the Shrove Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, tradition at the National Cathedral yesterday in Washington, DC. Shrove Tuesday is the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Christian season of Lent.
