Highland Educational Project

This year’s HEP mission to McDowell County, WV is July 29-August 4, and is open to all parishioners 12 and above (teens require an accompanying adult). For over 30 years parishioners from St Paul’s have gone to this poorest part of Appalachia to repair and refurbish homes, build decks and wheelchair ramps, and otherwise improve the homes and lives of those much less fortunate than us. To get some appreciation of the area we serve, watch the movie Rocket Boys or read Jeannette Walls’ autobiographical novel The Glass Castle.
